About Base64.is
A focused set of encoding tools that are fast, accurate and private.
Base64.is started as a simple Base64 encoder and decoder and has grown into a toolkit for the whole family of binary-to-text encodings: Base64 and Base64URL, Base32 and its variants, Base58, Base62, Base36, Base45, Base85, Ascii85, Z85, basE91, hex, binary, uuencode and more, together with tools for images, files, JSON Web Tokens and data URIs.
How the tools work
Every tool runs entirely in your browser. The encoders are implemented in plain JavaScript and follow the published specifications, such as RFC 4648 for Base64, Base32 and Base16 and RFC 9285 for Base45. Your text and files are never sent to a server, which makes the tools safe for private data and lets them keep working offline once a page has loaded.
Principles
- Accuracy first. Encoders are tested against reference implementations and known test vectors.

- Clear and fast. A clean interface with no clutter, available in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
